The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) is an opportunity for meritorious students in Class VIII. The scholarship provides essential financial aid of ₹12,000 per annum to support your studies through classes IX to XII. NMMS Answer Key 2025-26 : Overview
The NMMS exam is conducted by the respective State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) or state level examination authority. After the examination concludes, the authority released the NMMS Answer Key on the official state SCERT website. NMMS Exam Marking Scheme
The NMMS exam comprises two distinct papers - MAT & SAT. Both MAT & SAT papers have a total of 90 mark summing up to a total of 180 marks. The NMMS exam does not have negative marking. You receive 1 mark for every correct answer, and 0 marks for incorrect or unattempted questions.
Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate (i.e., 72 out of 180 total marks) to be considered.
SC/ST Candidates: The qualifying percentage is relaxed to 32% marks in aggregate (i.e., 58 out of 180 total marks).
You must also secure the qualifying marks in both the MAT and SAT papers separately.
NMMS Final Answer Key 2025
The State SCERT initially released the provisional answer key. After the provisional answer key the objection window will be opened (usually 5 to 7 days) where students who believe an official answer is incorrect can raise an objection by providing supporting documentary proof (e.g., reference to NCERT textbooks). After reviewing all valid objections, the SCERT releases the NMMS Final Answer Key. This revised key is used for the final mark calculation and preparation of the merit list. You must use the Final Answer Key for the most accurate prediction.
