LBS BSc Nursing & Paramedical Admission 2026-27 is conducted by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology (LBSCST), Thiruvananthapuram, on behalf of the Government of Kerala. It covers BSc Degree Nursing & Paramedicalstreams AND Diploma/D.Pharm/Health Inspector programmes — all through a single, merit-based, no-entrance-exam Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). Applications for BSc Nursing Admission will be commencing from the month of May 2026.

LBS BSc Nursing Admission 2026

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology (LBSCST), Thiruvananthapuram will be soon inviting applications for the 4-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Nursing programme and BSc Paramedical (Allied Health Sciences) programmes offered at government and private nursing colleges across Kerala. The admission process will be conducted as a centralized process commonly referred as Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

Unlike many states in India, Kerala does not conduct a separate nursing entrance exam. Instead, seats are allotted through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Plus Two / Class 12).Affiliated colleges are affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur, which is the sole health sciences university in the state.

LBS BSc Nursing 2026-27 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the basic eligibility criteria set by the officials to apply for the admission process. The Main criteria's include:

  1. Nationality and Domicile
    • Must be a citizen of India.
    • Must be a domicile of Kerala (Keralite).
    • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are also eligible.
    • Non-Keralites may be eligible under specific conditions — see Non-Keralite categories below.
  2. Educational Qualification
    • Must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Plus Two / Class 12) from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or an equivalent examination recognised by the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur.
    • Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
    • Minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology: 50% for General category candidates.
    • Reserved category candidates (SC/ST): 5% relaxation — i.e., minimum 45% in PCB aggregate.
  3. Age Limit
    • Minimum age: 17 years as on the date of commencement of the course.
    • Maximum age: 35 years as on 31 December 2026.
    • No age relaxation is available for any category beyond the stated upper limit.
  4. Non-Keralite (NK) Category Eligibility

    Candidates who are not Kerala domicile may still be eligible under the Non-Keralite (NK) categories if they satisfy any ONE of the following:

    • The candidate has studied Classes 8 to 12 entirely in Kerala (NK-I).
    • The candidate's parents are posted in Kerala as a Government official or Defence personnel and the candidate has studied the qualifying course in Kerala (NK-II).
    • The candidate or their parents have served in the Government or Defence in Kerala for at least 2 years (NK-II).
    • The candidate has spent a minimum of 5 years of their 12-year schooling in Kerala.

How to Apply for LBS BSc Nursing Admission 2026-27

Candidates can apply for the LBS BSc Nursing Admission through the official portal. The entire application process will be conducted through online mode, there will no applications invited through offline mode. Candidates can follow the steps carefully:-

  1. Visit the official website: lbscentre.kerala.gov.in (also accessible via lbscentre.in).
  2. On the homepage, locate the notification for 'Admission to Professional Degree Courses in Nursing and Paramedical Streams 2026-27.'
  3. Click on 'New Registration' and create a candidate account using your name, gender, address, email ID, and mobile number.
  4. Log in with the credentials sent to your registered email and mobile number.
  5. Fill in the application form with accurate academic, personal, and category details.
  6. Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.

LBS BSc Nursing Rank List 2026-27

On the basis of the applications and marks obtained bu the candidates in their Class 12 final examination, the LBS Centre for Science and Technology prepares a merit rank list. There is no separate entrance examination for BSc Nursing in Kerala.

Rank is calculated based on the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination. The rank list is published on the official website: lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. A provisional rank list is first released, giving candidates an opportunity to raise objections or correct errors. After resolving objections, the final rank list is published and counselling begins. Category-wise rank lists (SC, ST, OBC, PD, NRI, Service, Sports etc.) are also released along with the Open Merit rank list.
