Directorate General of Employment & Training, Kerala conducts the admission process for admission to Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state annually. Every year lakhs of students apply for the admission process for securing an admission in ITI's. Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) offer structured vocational and technical training in a wide range of engineering and non-engineering trades, equipping students with practical, job-ready skills for industry and self-employment.

The ITI Admission process is conducted purely through online mode by the official portal - itiadmissions.kerala.gov.in and is based on academic merit, no entrance examination will be conducted for admission. The candidates applied will be shortlisted based on the marks in their qualifying examination (Class 8, 10, or 12, depending on the trade chosen).

Kerala has more than 104 ITIs (both government and private) spread across all 14 districts, offering over 74 trades. Kerala ITI Admission - Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the ITI admission Kerala 2026 application form, make sure you meet all the eligibility requirements set by the Department of Industrial Training.

  • Educational Qualification

    Passed Class 8, 10, or 12 (depending on the trade) from a recognized board. Pre-degree required for Computer and DPT courses. Minimum 35% marks in the qualifying exam.

    Minimum age: 14 years as of 1 August of the admission year. No upper age limit has been specified for engineering and non-engineering trades.

  • Domicile / Nationality

  • Visit the Official Website
    Go to itiadmissions.kerala.gov.in and click on "Apply Now" or "New Registration" when the portal opens.
  • Register with Basic Details

Kerala ITI Merit List / Rank List 2026

The ITI admission for Kerala is purely based on academic marks secured by the candidate. The Department of Industrial Training, Government of Kerala prepares a merit list (rank list) based on candidates' marks in their qualifying examinations.

The rank of a candidate in the Kerala ITI merit list is determined by the percentage of marks scored in the last qualifying examination. For matric trades, SSLC (Class 10) marks are used.
