NMMS Scholarship Application 2023 - Kerala Exam, Date, Syllabus: The National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Scheme is a Central government-sponsored scheme for the 8th standard students in Govt./aided schools in Kerala. Kerala NMMS is the Scholarship exam sponsored by Central government to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class 8 and encourage them to continue studies at the secondary stage.
The National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Exam (NMMS) 2023 will be conducted by keralapreekshabhavan in the month of December in Kerala. The eligible students of 8th class from the Govt./aided schools in Kerala can participate in this NMMS Scholarship exam.
NMMS Scholarship
The scholarship amount of Rs. 12000/- per annum is provided so that the financially backward students could continue their secondary education in Government or Aided schools under Government of kerala other than special or residential schools. The students who passed the NMMS Scholarship exam will be eligible to get the scholarship amount of Rs. 12000/- per annum for the classes of 9,10,11 and 12th study.
Eligibility to Apply NMMS Exam
The students who are studying in 8th standard of Govt. or aided schools in Kerala can apply for the NMMS scholarship exam. The students studying in residential schools or other adopted schools under state government are ineligible
The students should have a score of 55% marks in 7th standard second term examination.(For SC/ST, marks should be 50%).
The Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs. 3,50,000/- per annum
NMMS Examination and Syllabus
The NMMS State Level Examination consists of the two tests of 90 minutes each. The tests consists of 90 questions with 1 mark for each correct answer.
(i) Mental Ability Test (MAT)
(ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
The students must pass NMMSS Examination with an aggregate of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Mental Ability Test (MAT) to be taken together at minimum of 40% (32% for SC/ST students).

The eligible candidates can apply for the Kerala NMMS examination 2023 online through the official web site www.nmmse.kerala.gov.in. The application dates, last date of online application, examination dates etc will be available from the notification. The NMMS notification will be normally relesed on November.

Register user name.
Login with registered user name and password
Follow the steps mentioned in the web page
Finally take the print out of the application.
After submit the online application, the candidate should submit the printout of the online application form and the supporting documents to the head master/principal of the school for verification. Students do not need to send the hard copy of the printout to pareekshabhavan.

Income certificate from the village office.(Income should be less than 3.5 lakhs per annum)
