Candidates must meet the requirements for age, education, and physical standards set by the officials to be considered for the selection process.

Education Qualification

Candidates must have passed the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Examination or possess an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025)

• Candidates must be between 18 and 36 years of age.
• Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply.
• Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities (OBC) and SC/ST categories as per government rules

How to Apply for Assistant Prison Officer Recruitment 2025 ?

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for the Assistant Prison Officer post through the official portal - www.keralapsc.gov.in. All applications are invited through online mode only. Candidates need to follow some simple steps to apply for the post:-

1. One Time Registration (OTR): All New User candidates must complete the 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' process on the official website of Kerala Public Service Commission
2. Candidates who have already registered can log in to their profile using their User-ID and Password.
3. Click on the 'Apply Now' button corresponding to the 'Assistant Prison Officer' post in the Notification Link.
4. On the user profile ensure you have an updated profile photo with candidate's name and the date the photo was taken printed legibly at the bottom.
5. Complete the Application Form and cross-verify all personal and qualification details before final submission. The application is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission.
6. Keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference and communication with the Commission.

Selection Process

Candidates who have applied for the post will be having a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). To qualify for the post, candidates must pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) by achieving the 'One Star Standard' in any five events out of the following eight:

• (i) 100 Metres Run: 14 seconds
• (ii) High Jump: 132.20 cms
• (iii) Long Jump: 457.20 cms
• (iv) Putting the shot (weight of the shot 7264 gm): 609.60 cms
• (v) Throwing cricket ball: 6096 cms
• (vi) Rope Climbing (Using hands only): 365.80 cms
• (vii) Pull-ups or Chinning: 8 times
• (viii) 1500 metre run: 5 minutes 44 seconds
