The Department of Technical Education (DTE), Kerala will be soon inviting application from candidates for admission to three-year Diploma programmes in Engineering, Technology, Commercial Practice, and Management. The Admission process is conducted through a centralised single-window online portal at www.polyadmission.org. The official Kerala Polytechnic Notification 2026 is expected to be released by April-May 2026 and applications are expected to open in the second week of June 2026.

Through the poly admission candidates can secure seats in any of the 45 Government Polytechnic Colleges, 6 Government-Aided Polytechnic Colleges, and 10 Self-Financing Polytechnic Colleges across the state.

The Kerala Polytechnic admission does not require any entrance examination. Selection is purely merit-based, derived from marks obtained in the SSLC (Class 10) or equivalent qualifying examination.

Kerala Polytechnic 2026-27 - Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for Kerala Poly Admission 2026, candidates must verify that they meet all of the following eligibility conditions:

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Qualification: Must have passed SSLC / THSLC or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • Subjects (Stream I): Engineering/Technology: Passed with Mathematics, Science, and English.
  • Subjects (Stream II): Commercial/Management: Passed with Mathematics and English only.
  • Domicile: Kerala natives are eligible for communal reservation and fee benefits. Non-Keralites may apply under open merit.

  • Pay Application Fee: Pay the registration fee online (₹200 for General category; ₹100 for SC/ST). Only online payment is accepted – no cash or DD.

Kerala Polytechnic Allotment is done through a computerised process based on your rank, choice filling, and reservation criteria. The process includes Polytechnic Trial Allotment (for revision of choices), followed by the First Allotment and subsequent rounds.
