Calicut University Degree Admission Eligibility

Age limit

Age limit for admission to the under graduate programmes (UG) shall be as on 1 st June of the academic year.

For General / SEBC candidates - 23 years
For SC/ST candidates - 25 years

Educational Qualification

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination/ Vocational Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Kerala or an Examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto

The seats available for admission to the degree programmes in various colleges/ institutions under the Calicut University are categoriaes as Merit Seats, Mandatory reservations Seats, Community Quota Seats, Management Quota Seats, Other Reservation Category Seats, Special Reservation Category seats etc.

Calicut University Nodal Centers

Nodal Centres are functioning in all affiliated colleges in connection with the admission to function as a helping hand to the students and University. The students can do registration, editing, re- arrangement of option, cancellation of higher option etc through the Nodal Centres. How to Apply for Degree Admission 2023 - Calicut University UG CAP

The candidates shall submit online application for degree admission by using cuonline.ac.in web site.

The application registration process will be completed in Two continuous Phases. In the first phase the candidates shall submit online application form and in the second phase the candidate shall make payment for the application registration. The online application is considers as completed once the payment registration is completed.

First the candidate shall visit the official web site cuonline.ac.in and start the registration process. After enter the details click on REGISTER button. The candidate will get CAP ID and password by email/SMS. Keep this login details for every login to the web site.

In the Next step:
Candidate shall create student profile by enter the prompted details in the web page. Then click the "SAVE & PROCEED" button to proceed

If the marks populated in the page, very it, Or enter the mark details. Then click the "SAVE & PROCEED" button to proceed

In the Next step
Select Course and College from the options. The selection should be based on the candidates priority. The allotment list will be created based on this selection of choices and priority.
If the details entered are correct click "Final Submit & Pay"

The first phase of the application registration is finished. Next phase of the online application is the payment of application registration fee.

Application Registration Fee Payment

The candidate shall select the payment method from the list of methods. The available payment methods are State Bank online payment, Payment Gateway., Akshaya Centres & Friends Janasevana Kendram, Post office etc.After successful payment, candidates can take the print out of application.

After the free payment, the candidate can take printout of copy of challan. This challan shall be submitted to the college where he/she takes permanent admission.

Calicut University Management Quota Admission 2023

Management Quota Seats in Aided and Un-aided Colleges

The seats for management quota in Aided, Un-Aided and Self Financing programmes/ courses in Aided colleges that are filled by the Colleges. The Candidates who are seeking admission to the Management Quota in Aided/Unaided colleges should register in CAP portal. In addition to this candidates should contact the colleges he/she intends to take admissions and submit separate applications in the colleges concerned.
The eligibility of the students should be verified by the colleges before issuing forms to the students requesting for admission before conducting online registration.

Calicut University Degree Allotment 2023 - UGCAP Admission

Calicut University UG degree admission conducted through a centralized allotment process (CAP). There will be three allotments ie Calicut University degree first allotment, Calicut University degree second allotment and Calicut University degree third allotment for all category of students and Two special allotments for SC/ST categories.

Allotment Option

The candidate who got an allotment to an option, all the options below the received allotment will be permanently lost. The options thus lost will not be reinstated at any cost. The options above the received allotment shall be used for future allotments.

Degree Trial Allotment

Calicut University conducting a trial allotment after the closing date for online registration. The degree trial allotment date will be announced by the university in time. After the trial allotment the candidates will be allowed to modify their application within a specified date and time. Candidates who modified their application should take printout of modified application on or before the last date for modification.
