The Guruvayur Temple is one of the most famous Lord Krishna Temples in India. The 10 days annual festival of Guruvayoor temple will be conducted in the malayalam month of 'Kumba' or February-March in english calendar. The festival starts with Kodiyettam in the first day and it ends on the 10th day with Araattu ulsavam.

Guruvayur Anual Festival

Guruvayoor anual festival will be started on Febryary 21, 2024. The famous Guruvayur Anayottam, which is the biginning of Guruvayur festival will be held on Febryary 21, 2024.The winning elephant will have the honour to carry the Thidambu (the idol of Guruvayoorappan) on all special occasions for one year.The 9th day of the festival is the Pallivetta day. Pallivetta represents the symbolic destruction of Kama and Krodha from the minds of the people. 10th day of the Guruvayur ulsavam is the Arattu day which is the concluding day of Guruvayur festival. On Arattu day the temple will open at 6 a.m. After all usual poojas, Arattu procession will begin at 6.30 a.m. The Lord Guruvayoorappan's idol will be taken to the Rudra Theertham for Arattu. After 'Arattu', the the elepahant runs eleven times around the temple with the idol.

Guruvayur Temple Opens at 3.00 AM and will be closed between 1.30PM and 4.30PM and Reopens at 4.30 PM.

3.00am to 3.30am - Nirmalyam
3.20am to 3.30am - Oilabhishekam, Vakacharthu, Sankhabhishekam

3.30am to 4.15am - Malar Nivedyam, Alankaram
4.15am to 4.30am - Usha Nivedyam
4.30am to 6.15am - Ethirettu pooja followed by Usha pooja
7.15am to 9.00am - Seeveli,Palabhishekam,Navakabhishekam, Pantheeradi Nivedyam, and Pooja
11.30am to 12.30pm - Ucha pooja (the noon pooja)

4.30pm to 5.00pm - Seeveli
6.00pm to 6.45pm - Deeparadhana
7.30pm to 7.45pm - Athazha pooja Nivedyam
7.45pm to 8.15pm - Athazha pooja
8.45pm to 9.00pm - Athazha seeveli
9.00pm to 9.15pm - Thrippuka, Olavayana
9.15pm - Sreekovil will be closed.
