Athirappilly Water Falls is located in Thrissur District in Kerala. Athirappilly falls is one of the most famous falls in Kerala which is at about 80 ft (25 m) high.
Vazhachal is another water fall near to Athirappilly, it is about 5Km away from Athirappilly and barely takes about 15 min. Vazhachal fall is situated closely to dense forests and provides shelters for many endangered species. Often the Athirappilly Water Falls are called as Niagra of India

There are many Forest wildlife animals which gives a spectacular view to tourists such as Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, gaur, sambar, and lion-tailed macaque.

The Athirappilly Fall is mainly popular among the Film shooting locations in India and many tourists are motivated to visit the place from the scenes of films. The major films that have been shot in the location includes Bahubali, Dil Se, Guru, Punnagai Mannan, Paiyaa, etc.

How to Reach Athirappilly Falls

One can reach Athirappilly by Train at Chalakkudy railway station or by Flight at Cochin International Airport which is located in Nedumbassery.

One can get to the destination from the airport at a distance of about 45 KM which takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.

The closest railway station is Chalakudy. The distance from Chalakudy to Athirappilly is about 30 KM.
