PSC LDC Question Pattern and Syllabus

Maximum marks: 100
Exam Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes)
Medium of questions: Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada

The LDC questions are arranged in four parts

Part I : General Knowledge and Current Affairs : Total 50 Marks
Part II : Simple Arithmetic and Mental Ability : Total 20 Marks
Part III: General English - Total 20 Marks
Part IV: Regional Language (Malayalam /Tamil/Kannada) : 10 Marks

Some important topics that you must know on the subjects:

Mathematics:

Time and distance, Time and work, Profit and Loss, Simplification, LCM AND HCF, Fractions, Law of exponents, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages,
Averages, Areas and Volumes, Simple interests, age Problems etc

Mental - Reasoning ability:

Puzzle, Analogy, Direction Sense Test, Series completion etc..

General Knowledge:

Knowledge on current affairs, Geography, Indian and world history, Inventions and discovery, Countries and Capital, Books and authors, Awards, important personals etc.

English:

Tenses, Synonyms and Antonyms, Active and Passive voice, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Clauses, Direct and indirect speech, Spelling mistakes, idioms, Use of articles, One word substitute etc

Regional Language:

You must have a good understanding of regional language grammar.

Kerala PSC LDC Exam Important Tips:

The Correct answer of each question will be getting One mark.

There will be a negative marking system. 1 (one) mark will be reduced for each 3 wrong answers.

Time Management is the most important one to answer all the questions in time.

Solve lot of previous year question papers, model question papers and attending mock tests that will help you to balance your speed and accuracy.
